Trampolines

Choosing, setting up or maintaining a trampoline? Start here.

Which trampoline should I buy?

The best trampoline depends on your child’s age, backyard size, budget and how much jumping room you need. For younger children, start with Junior Trampolines. For older kids or growing families, compare larger sizes in the full Trampolines range.

For the fastest path, use our Trampoline Finder or read the Trampoline Buying Guide.

Which size trampoline should I buy?

Start with the space you have, then consider your child’s age and confidence. Compact sizes like 4ft, 6ft and 7ft are better suited to younger children and smaller backyards. Larger sizes like 10ft, 12ft and 14ft+ suit bigger spaces and older children.

Measure your space carefully and allow a clear safety area around the trampoline before purchasing.

How old should children be to use a trampoline?

It depends on the trampoline. Junior trampolines are designed for younger children, while larger trampolines are usually better suited to older, more confident jumpers. Always check the age guidance, maximum user weight and product instructions on the product page before use.

You can also read our guide: What Age Can Kids Start Using a Trampoline?

Where should I position my trampoline?

Place your trampoline on level, stable ground with clear space around it. Avoid hard surfaces, fences, walls, trees, washing lines and other play equipment. Check overhead clearance as well as the space around the trampoline.

For more help, read our trampoline setup guide.

Do I need trampoline accessories?

Some accessories can help with setup, use or care. Depending on the model, this may include anchor kits, ladders, covers or replacement parts. Always check compatibility before purchasing.

Browse Trampoline Accessories or Trampoline Spare Parts.

How do I fit trampoline springs?

Always follow the manual supplied with your trampoline. As a general guide, springs are usually fitted evenly around the frame to distribute tension across the mat. Avoid forcing parts into place and use the supplied spring tool where provided.

If you are unsure, pause assembly and check the Trampoline Assembly Videos or contact us for help.

My enclosure net feels too tight. What should I do?

First, check that the enclosure is aligned correctly with the frame and entry point. Do not force the net if it feels too tight, as this may damage the net or fittings.

If it still does not look right, contact us with your trampoline model, size and photos so we can help.

How can I maintain my trampoline?

Check your trampoline regularly, especially after heavy use or bad weather. Look for:

  • Holes, tears or sagging in the jumping mat
  • Loose stitching or worn areas
  • Damaged, missing or rusted springs
  • Wear on the safety pad or enclosure net
  • Frame movement, bent parts or missing fittings

If a safety part is damaged or missing, stop using the trampoline until it has been checked or replaced. Read more: What Trampoline Parts Can You Replace?

Can I buy spare parts for my Plum trampoline?

Selected spare parts are available for some Plum trampoline models. Before ordering, check your trampoline model, size and shape to help match the correct part.

Browse Trampoline Spare Parts, or contact us if you need help identifying a part.

Are trampolines safe?

Trampolines need to be used correctly and supervised by an adult. Always follow the product instructions, age guidance and user weight limit. We also recommend one jumper at a time, regular maintenance checks and keeping the surrounding area clear.

Swings & climbing frames

Help with swing sets, climbing frames, timber care and setup.

Which swing set should I buy?

Start with your backyard size, your child’s age, how many children will use it, and whether you want a single swing, double swing, triple swing or a swing set with a slide.

Browse Swing Sets, Single Swing Sets, Double Swing Sets, Triple Swing Sets or Swings with Slides.

How much space do I need for a swing set or climbing frame?

Check the assembled product dimensions on the product page and allow clear space around the equipment. Keep the area free from fences, trees, washing lines, buildings, furniture and other play equipment.

Do I need to anchor my swing set or climbing frame?

If your product is supplied with ground anchors, they must be used as instructed before the product is used. Always follow the manual supplied with your product.

My timber has splits or cracks. Is this normal?

Timber can naturally expand, shrink, split or check as outdoor conditions change. In many cases this is normal and does not affect the product’s strength, but it depends on the size and location of the split.

If you are concerned, contact us with clear photos and your product model.

How do I maintain a wooden swing set or play centre?

Use a soft brush to remove dirt, wipe plastic and metal parts with a damp cloth and check bolts, fittings and anchors regularly. Follow the maintenance guidance in your manual for any timber care recommendations.

Can I change swing accessories?

Some swing accessories may be replaceable, depending on the product and attachment style. Always check compatibility, spacing and the product instructions before changing accessories.

If unsure, contact us before purchasing.

Where should I put my climbing frame?

Place the climbing frame on suitable level ground with clear space around it. Avoid hard surfaces and keep the surrounding area clear of buildings, fences, trees and other obstacles.

Sand & water play

Help with sandpits, sand and water tables, covers and liners.

How much sand do I need for my sandpit?

Please refer to the individual product page for sand capacity guidance. We recommend using washed play sand that is suitable for children’s sandpits.

Browse Sandpits or Sand & Water Tables.

Can I buy a replacement sandpit cover?

Some replacement covers may be available for selected products. Check the current Sandpit Covers range, or contact us if you need help matching a cover to your model.

Why isn’t my sandpit cover a tight fit?

Some sandpit covers are designed to be removable rather than tightly fixed. Always follow the product instructions and safety guidance supplied with your sandpit.

Can I buy a replacement sandpit liner?

Replacement liners may not be available for every model. Contact us with your product name and photos if you need help finding a suitable option.

Should I choose a sandpit or a sand and water table?

Sand and water tables are a compact option for younger children and quick sensory play. Sandpits give kids a larger space for digging, scooping and imaginative outdoor play.
